Element V2 tested by Juanjus

by Juanjus »
Yesterday I could release my element v2 9m,
WOWWWWW.

Compared with my element v1 11m it is obviously more rapid but with a much more progressive dpower and an incredible low-end. My weight is of 68 kg and it was jumping with 13 knots.
Today we wait one day with more wind where to be able to prove it more thoroughly.

Freestyle Singles Men - FINAL DRAW

MJ at PKRA Marsala

Jun-25-2013

The Marsala PKRA freestyle registration took place today with 47 men and 18 women registering for the event.  The conditions have been very good the past few days; riders have been riding their 9 to 13 m kites on the flat-water lagoons of Marsala.  All the top riders are here for the third stop of the season and many new faces are here for a chance to get a good result on the PKRA and make a name for themselves.  The skippers meeting will be at 10am and the start of the trials at 11am.

The main event has 24 spots available for men and 12 women, so trials will have to be run. The trials for men and women will be run in a dingle format so that all competitors will get at least two chances to make it into the main event.  The top eight-man and top four women are preceded into the main event.  Two wildcards are given to the local organizers for the men and one for the women. This leaves 37 competitors on the men’s side battling for the last 14 spots and 13 women battling for 7 spots into the main event.

Big switch creates kite surfing startup

In 18 months Switch Kites has secured 3% of the world’s kite surfing market. It’s aiming for 10% in two and is on target to do that. Only 2% of its business comes from New Zealand, with 82% from the Northern Hemisphere. It has customers as far afield as Montenegro and Latvia and warehouses in London, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.
