The Switch Watchdog is a revolutionary product identification system that instantly displays your product's history and ownership details by simply scanning the QR code with your smart phone.



 Why should I use it?
Have you ever had a kite stolen? Have you bought a second-hand kite that seemed to have dodgy origins?
Before purchasing a used Switch kite, you can scan the code and instantly have the make, model and purchase history available, so no more shady deals.

Should disaster strike and your brand new Nitro disappears, flag it in our database and let the world know that it has been registered as lost or stolen. Or should you spot your lost pride on the beach, scan the code to be sure it's yours - but don't punch the prick in the face - rather call the police.
 How do I use it
Just scan the QR code with your smart phone and the product information is instantly in your hands. If you cannot scan the QR code, you can simply enter the serial number.

If you own a product with the Switch Watch Dog system, you can log onto our website and customize the displayed information: - Personal details - Personal message - Flag as stolen - Flag as lost.

WARRANTY

Here at Switch we don’t just hang around drinking cups of tea discussing dining etiquette – we’re out there getting wrecked, testing our product in every way imaginable.
We’ve baked it, boiled it, beaten it, burnt it, drowned it, dishwashed it, driven over it, squashed it, crashed into it, hung from it, slept on it, and shot it – repeatedly. But we don’t advise you to try this at home.

Our kites are the bomb.

Term
90 days from the date of purchase. If you’ve got issues, contact us and give us an earful. We’ll still love you. Really. And we’ll still listen if you’re outside of that.
Covered
Any defects in materials or workmanship.
Not covered
If you’re using it as a tent at a rock festival, or wrapping it around yourself and jumping through flaming hoops as a circus act, you’re probably not covered by our warranty.

Let’s face it, as good as our kites are, regular wear and tear and damage from your mistakes can’t be covered. We use the best materials available to make Switch gear, and we make them good, solid and durable.

No kite will last as long as a ’64 Kombi or memories of your first shag. Our kites are not indestructible. If you’re constantly flying into trees, refloating beached whales or catching large quantities of migrating birds, be reasonable – we can’t cover it.
Claims
If you’ve got a valid claim, take close-up pictures and send a description to: warranty@switchkites.com

Our goal is to get you back out there as fast as possible. We know what withdrawal symptoms feel like. You’ll moan, you’ll scream, you’ll hurl. It ain’t pretty.

At this stage we might:
- Get you to send the gear to one of our kite hospitals with a Return Authorised Number (RAN).
- If we decide you have a valid claim we’ll reimburse freight costs with a credit voucher.
- Switch isn’t responsible for any costs, loss or damages incurred as a result of loss of use, or any medication you might feel tempted to take to get those happy vibes back.

Please triple check you have a RAN number before sending.
Look it’s the small print
The warranty for any repaired or replaced equipment is good from date of original purchase only, for the original purchaser only. Receipt must accompany claims. If covered, Switch will repair or replace the product if we decide it’s all kosher.

Damage during shipping
Sometimes random shit happens. If your gear arrives looking like it's been chewed by a team of pitbulls on steroids, notify Switch HQ immediately. Ask the driver to document that the box arrived damaged - often shipping guys want to inspect the box/packaging, so keep everything until instructed otherwise by the shipping agent. If you eyeball the damage after the driver's left, contact the shipping agent and Switch HQ immediately.


RETURNS

Ok, so you've ordered your kite - then suddenly decided to renounce all worldly possessions and live a life of chastity in a remote Tibetan monastery - can you return your gear?
Yes, if all goods are untouched and still in their original packaging. If we accepted returns just because your girlfriend didn't like the colour etc, then our prices would go up. As soon as you unwind the lines, inflate your kite or mount the straps to the board, consider it yours. So if your mind is as fickle as the wind, do some soul searching before you punch in your credit card number.
How
Products can be returned direct to distribution points only if Switch provide a RAN (Return Authorization) Number) in advance. This must be clearly displayed on the outside of the package (or it is likely to be returned to you) and posted in its original shipped condition within 7 days of the RAN being issued.
To get a RAN, send a short concise email outlining your case to: warranty@switchkite.com.
If approved, we'll email you the RAN number and return address. Items need to be returned in original packaging materials. Throw it all in the box, wrappers included with a copy of the original packaging slip with your return. Write your RAN on the box in LARGE letters next to the shipping address. Job done.
